Half Wine Barrels around 40 years old. Sizes range from approx 1.5ft tall by 2/2.5ft wide, capable of holding 200-250 litres / 45-50 gallons. Each barrel has galvanised rings with some rust and some dirt.
Barrels are from a range of whisky distilleries, mainly across the central belt of Scotland. Originally used for wine in America or France but are burnt inside as have since been used for whisky.
